Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Finance Business Partner – Maintenance & Service to join our Finance department. The role is flexible with a mix of remote working, travel to our UK office in Reading (1 day per week) and occasional travel to other Volta Truck sites.

This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious scale-up where you will have the opportunity to play a critical role supporting and help shape our Truck as a Service (TaaS) operation and be the trusted Finance Business Partner to the Maintenance & Servicing teams as we continue to expand across Europe.

What you will do:

Strategically partner with critical business functions (Maintenance & Service) and provide accurate planning, concise reporting, and analysis to enable clear decision making aligned to the business strategy. Our Maintenance & Service operations are expanding rapidly as we continue to open service centres across Europe, and you will be the key finance contact and take full ownership of the operations P&L.

  • Business partner to senior leadership & executive level stakeholders including VP TaaS Operations, Head of Customer Success, Senior Service Operations & Head of repairs and maintenance
  • Produce meaningful financial insights, analysis and reports to support decision making within maintenance and service department
  • Create, monitor and report KPI’s for service centre operations
  • Provide financial guidance to the department and help identify risks and support in mitigating solutions
  • Monthly reporting for the department and support with forecasting and budgeting

We would like you to have:

  • Accounting qualifications – CIMA, ACCA, ACA
  • Demonstrable business partnering experience supporting senior stakeholders is essential
  • Previous experience supporting/partnering with maintenance, aftersales, third party service providers or service functions is highly desirable
  • Collaborative finance professional with ability to negotiate and influence across functional and regional boundaries
  • Proven ability to manage financial transactions, control project budgets and model finance data
